I think out of principle even if you enjoyed the game you must refund games that are less than two hours of content because that is just robbery, if they game wasn't like 99 cents on sale then out of principle it must be refunded.

It's good, if you want some constructive criticism - I'd go with no HUD for first few seconds of the trailer, instead of focusing on the gameplay my eyes go to score/fps/tutorial. Those are fine in the later stage but initially I'd just try to show the general gameplay

I don't see the point in letting AI made games sit next to real games getting feedback from real people and real fanart from real artists.
If it's AI made they can just ask AI for fan art and for feedback, they're just posting that shit to troll demo day and waste everyone's time.
Also I just do not understand the AI to prototype art argument, there are literally thousands of available sprites and image sets for literally anything. I use actual sprite assets from other games to prototype. And that has been around forever. It's actually quite nice because I keep it all in a folder organized by style so it's also basically a mood board
AI assisted code is fine in my book because it's just math but you'll probably not get very good results without paying for a lot of expensive claude tokens. And at that point are you just going to be like cris and are you mastering your AI workflow or are you going to just like make game?
Cris could literally have been a millionaire by now if he just fucking made a game instead of being a workflow autist. AI genuinely wasted so much of his time and potential. You guys need to understand that in the years to come when you can actually just prompt your dream game this industry will be fucking dead because it means no one will use steam they will just buy AI prompt tokens to prompt their own dream games

I have studied phd level mathematics, and a math professor told me (during gpt 3) that he wasn't sure if math itself will exist in the foreseeable future.

AI enshitification is what caused the /vg/ exodus to begin with. You have actual AI zombies victims of AI psychosis acting completely deranged spreading cancer. You can't possibly think ignoring this and just running away every time it gets out of control is the proper solution.

half-life 2 and vice city don't even make sense. HL2 wasn't apart of the piss era and vice city should just be a low poly rock with the blurriest of textures. half-life 2 should be a mid poly rock with apshalt debris textures around it.

Dont need any representative, all my communication so far has been in English. However I'm somewhere between N3 and N2, so I can hold pretty basic conversations too which should be adequate for communicating with attendees. They do offer translators though if needed.

Got data to work with Unreal, needed a lot of structs. Added visualization of literacy and other 0-100 stats to the front. Started implementation of state cards.

progress: almost done master shader, got heat glow/camo pattern working. still need to add dirt support, maybe I'll use SDF to display damage/scorched armor though the material and retire the stencil based damage cutouts.

jc2 is great because after you beat the game you can run around destroying all the shit you missed and watch your completion score tick up by .002% everytime you destroy a piece of infrastructure

I hated that MC, the story, pretty everything but the gameplay. had fun pretending I was some sort of superhero that was a cross between spiderman, batman and the punisher, fighting some super villain controlled country

Adding directions and animations to units has turned out to be significantly more difficult than pathfinding & unit controls. Everything I do seems to introduce new problems. Here the selection boxes have become ultra wide. Godot 4.8 will fix this, I just need to wait...

Thanks for the feedback in the previous thread, I checked the 20 game challenge and tried to start with pong but I think I'm not ready for that yet. I'm pretty much starting from scratch with both godot and gamemaking, the only real coding experience I have are coding basics from the last time I've attempted to learn and followed the cs50 course that's free and a really introductory programing course and that's it, and while it kinda helped to understand what's going on translating that to godot seems totally different. What do you guys think I should be doing? I was thinking that just following tutorials until I get the basics of how godot works and stuff like that but I'm not sure, I also don't want to just ask AI to write everything for me or teach me because that would defeat the purpose of trying to learn, but I don't know. Any help is appreciated, thanks a lot.

Either give up trying to do coding and hire someone to do it, or spend years to slowly build up that knowledge.
If you choose the latter, start by doing tutorials.

Yes I may have added co-op multiplayer to an otherwise singleplayer focused game, for now I used it to goof around and easier playtest with friends, in the demo I removed the coop button because well it's not supposed to exist yet (only works with steam anyway).

Thanks a lot for the feedback, I knew the game was riddled with bugs, I didn't even want to upload, but it was 69 didn't want to miss it kek
