with the recent developments in technology, the mass production of long range telescopic scopes has become easier thus cheaper. And this new computer scope that calculates windage and elevation for infantryman sounds like a superior advantage to what the competition has now (china & russia) even if they were to just give all of their troops dragonuv SVDs to cope, there still is the issue of teaching the average grunt of how to actually hit stuff with it.
