>>20365345Oh, well don't feel bad for looking up the cert numbers on my account. Yeah I realized the 1857 half cent isn't really visible because of the lighting lol, but the coin is a beaut. Draped bust is great, I love to see lady liberty's chest in all its glory.
The transition from pennies being twice the size of half cents to how tiny they are today would definitely have been weird, same with half dimes transitioning to nickels. It's cool how dimes, quarters, and half dollars are still sized proportionately to their face value, a neat little vestige of pre-1965 constitutional silver.
I don't think I've added much to the collection since that picture. I'd been working and pretty directionless for awhile and only recently have tried to get a good degree and have stopped working while I'm doing that. Hopefully I get a job in the field and am able to afford more neat coins!
