The word "pisco" (pishcu means bird in a native old language) is the name of a valley that a spaniard lord owned where you could see many birds flying all the time and the ground was perfect for grapes. There is no "pisco" province in chile. Chilean pisco is too strong on the alcohol because it's grapes cannot produce the necessary sweetness that you get during the fermentation process.
