Same back in time, Norway has always been quite irrelevant and was very poor until you found oil. Sweden was the epicentre of Scandinavia under Vikingtimes, under bronzeage times and so on.
But you might have a delusion because you got rich off oil :P
Don't be dumb though, you obviously would have no chance vs Sweden in a war, except for help from NATO
