No matter the franchise or series people will always find something to complain. You also need to consider that the Pokémon games are almost 2 decades old. The 3DS generation is arguably the absolute fucking worst and Ultra Sun and Moon barely salvaged the era since GameFreak practically threw any legendary you wanted if you had both games. Sword and Shield will always remain a disgrace to the franchise, regardless.
