For example just off the top of my head, if a movie has to take scenes to london you will probably see a montage with London Calling playing, horror movies have the defeated villain come out of the grave at the end, family sitcoms hug and love each other and learn a lesson, these are common modern storytelling tropes and they had their own back then. Everything in the NT is an allusion to the OT and Greek tales, and there is nothing wrong with it. You are right OP.
