I'd like to point out the academic connections between Smart Dust, our favorite 3 letter agency and Havana Syndrome.
https://people.eecs.berkeley.edu/~pister/SmartDust/SmartDustBAA97-43-Abstract.pdfThis paper from UC Berkeley on Smart Dust was written by Kristofer S.J. Pister.
Mr. Pister is the founder and CTO of Dust Networks. One of the investors for Dust Networks is In-Q-Tel.
In-Q-Tel invests in high-tech companies to keep the Central Intelligence Agency, and other intelligence agencies, equipped with the latest in information technology in support of United States intelligence capability.
Even more interesting is Mr. Pister's membership in the JASON defense Advisory Group, which is an independent group of elite scientists which advises the United States government on matters of science and technology, mostly of a sensitive nature.
The Department of Defense ended its contract with JASON in Apr. 2019. Among the most recent activities was a non-consensus-commensurate (in other words, providing a view alternative to the prevailing one in the federal executive department which commissioned the following report), and now declassified, report to the State Department dismissing the Havana Syndrome cases as caused by crickets as opposed to microwave weapons.
Here is the report.
