By the time the police arrested them, the sisters had pinned Kamikaze Girl with a dual hip attack, trying to stop her from squirming. This got them in hot water and thrown into a cell.
Stacey was the one over the more cool headed Sam, and sure enough, the two were eventually quite literally sprung out of jail and re-united with the rest of the doomed Japan expedition. Sam being the first to speak up.

Sam replies, rubbing the top of her head.One of the angry old men slapping the side of the weathered old Volkswagen Microbus signalled the group to get in.
