Republicanism assumes that people play by the rules. But communists don't play by the rules.
Most people aren't that smart, they need a simple 3-word narrative to go by. That's why fascism is the only recourse to fighting communism.
When they reduced the narrative to "white man bad" they sealed their fate of the counternarrative "jew bad" which is only 2 words instead of 3 and thus 33% more effective.
