An important caveat is that this won't generate new babies. But why is that my problem? I was so enthusiastic in early 2000s about cloning and they had to ban it because muh human dignity at stake. What dignity? Well, either way. They can keep their dignity and enjoy low birth rate. I do have hope about IVG tech though. They made healthy and fertile mice from IVG generated cells. Can't wait for the human trials to start. I heard you can even create a 100% one parent offspring, so single men can become fathers and single mothers can become mothers, and the sex of the baby can switch as well, so a man will be able to have as many kids as he can afford of either sex. I don't see why making this tech accessible is bad.
