I need to know about Paul. I am reading up and watching as much as I can because I'm stuck between deciding if Paul is a false apostle or if he isn't, and this is extremely serious, because so many millions of people follow the doctrine he preaches.
I'm trekking perilous waters here.
I just don't think I can accept that he's a false prophet, because the majority of the New Testament was wrote by him or by people who approve OF him.
If Paul is a false apostle, then what hope would the gentiles have? Because Jesus came to the lost sheep of Israel. All of the original apostles of Jesus preach to the Jews too. Paul is supposed to be the apostle of the gentiles.
Is this supposed to happen? Am I ever going to have peace? Every time I settle down and think I have things worked out, something damning rears its ugly head and then I have to frantically begin digging deep and researching its origins and truths because if I don't I run the risk of following false prophets to my demise.
I don't want to get to judgement day and for the Lord Jesus Christ to ask me why I haven't followed what he asked, with me answering 'w-well Paul said...', only for Him to ask me why on earth I followed what Paul said instead of what he said just because Paul said he was relaying Gods word, you know?
Like I was quick to dismiss some of this stuff initially but there's things here which just don't sit right with me that I can't explain away.
Anybody got any thoughts on the whole Paul being a false prophet thing?
