I used to be very judgemental and even hateful towards certain others, but the Holy Spirit has (mostly) eliminated that out of me. Even when I start to get judgemental, angry or even hateful a little bit, God speaks to my heart and stops me before that evil seed grows.
You misunderstood what Jesus said in that verse, by the way. He was saying that when you've been saved through faith in Him, you will bear fruit, as in good fruit, meaning good works, whereas you don't without Him.
