The difference in the proportion of notable men as compared to women, is due to a multitude of factors. On is that women have a different distribution of IQ. Though the minimum and maximum are the same for the two sexes, the bell curve is flatter for men (more idiots, more geniuses, less average IQ). Another factor is interest, women tend to be more interesteed in living things, which is noticeable in that many exceptional female scientists are in fields such as ethology, zoology and psychology.
Over all the problem with your "argument" is the part about women not being just people like men. Some differences ofcourse, but overall they are just people. Most of them are just as unexceptional as you, but some, like some men, are capable of great things.
