sure I understand, it's from when the scales couldn't measure in grams and dkg was the most precise and sensible unit to use and we haven't switched to grams because if it works why bother
well maybe it's less relevant but it's not like it's completely nonexistent
I use butter for cooking if it's small quantities like for a pan sauce or bechamel but margarin when the recipe asks for like 80dkg
