I went into my backyard in the middle of the night crying out in prayer asking God to show me truth, and if not show me, then to instill in me faith in Christ if He is indeed who He said He is.
I've never doubted the existence of God, but I've had difficulty believing in Jesus.
After maybe half an hour of prayer, out of nowhere, something told me to go and read John 14-16. It wasn't so much a voice as it was a feeling that I needed to go read those chapters. I have read the New Testament, and I vaguely had an idea of what those chapters were about; particularly the parable about Jesus being the True Vine, but I went inside and grabbed my Bible anyway.
I opened it up to John 14 and this crimson text is the first thing I saw:
>Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.I was shocked, but comforted.
I sat there for a while and wept, reading those words over and over through my tears of joy.
Just felt the need to share this experience for some reason.
Praise and Glory be to God alone, forever and ever.
