here's my attempt at an explanation
initial market thesis:
falling inflation + declining but not disastrous data that could tip towards deflation/recession
so
fed steps in with stimulus -> avoids major recession -> stocks continue to run
what's more so happening:
inflation re-accelerating from premature cuts + mediocre data with potential to tip towards recession
fed won't be able to stimulate without inflation going hot again
thus we either get rate pause/hikes, a classic recession, or stagflation - all of which are not ideal for stocks
and considering stocks are priced for perfection at current P/Es, anything less means declines
