She wasn't involved or interested in politics until Democratic candidate scouts found her rehabilitating from a tragic Iraq War injury. Perhaps dealing with post-Vietnam War guilt, the editorial board of the Trib appears to want to make up for the mainstream media's heartless rejection of returning home vets in the late 60s by overcompensating with their support of Duckworth...
...Tammy Duckworth can add the Trib's endorsement to Barbra Streisand's, Michael Moore's, Rosie O'Donnell's and other Hollywood heroes. Next week, Bill Clinton will seal the deal. There's no question who Duckworth will be beholding to if she goes to D.C.
