Can someone please explain to me why I was disqualified from the PD? I took the exam and they told me if I answer someone questions a specific way it's an auto fail. They told me I did this with two questions.

I put that I back him up because he is my colleague and the guy is a known speeder
The second question was
>Your partner shoots a man he believed was holding a gun. Turns out it was a cell phone. Your partner grabs an unregistered gun from his car and plants it in the victims hand. What do you do?
I put that I back my partners story and the man had a gun
It was multiples choice and I know for a fact they would want me to back them up so why did they fail me
