But cultivating willpower is so empowering. The only thing you can control in this world is yourself and even then it is a struggle. I think all the years I've spent, since I can remember really, watching anime and being into spirituality and also my upbringing I guess made me like this. If you think about it, anime can't help but have motifs of zen Buddhism, martial arts discipline concepts, strong female characters for me to idolize and want to emulate, etc. And being exposed to those concepts often made me interested in the subjects outside of anime and dig deeper just to research for the fun of learning.
So I guess that's why I'm so weird...
and why I didn't have many female friends...
I mean I had some, and good friends, but not more than like 10 or so.
