You're not really focusing on the music, the music is more like the background pretext to hangout with your girl or your friends. If you really want to appreciate the music -- and not get wasted, hangout with friends, have a date, idolize musicians, dance and whatnot --, then you want everyone to be quiet and sitting down so not to disturb the immersion and the experience, like classical music concerts. Also, you get out of a concert like that with more energy and focus, while in megaconcerts and shows where people jump and scream with the musicians you get out very distracted and wasted. This different approach to concerts makes a lot of difference in the lifestyle you end up adopting.
