yea that's what i suspected but i wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, i want to believe there's a meaningful difference between modern capeshit and "classic" capeshit but there might just be a high baseline level of retardation regardless

sure but i mean in the comics, there must've been plenty of panels where they show the evil villain in their lair concocting a plan but i guess now that i think about it even if they did they probably would very rarely show the full plan that early because it'd be less suspenseful, but maybe during the villains' exposition monologues after their evil laugh while batman is in their traps, like "muahahah i knew you would fall for it because i knew blah blah blah", i wonder how good the rationale usually is during those parts, i know that comics have different writers, like there were a bunch of people that wrote official superman comics and batman comics and everything but still

maybe, i havent seen any in a long time so idk if i'd like them today, i remember seeing the dark knight one with the heath leger joker and liking it but i don't remember thinking it was an 11/10 masterpiece like everyone said it was, i'd be kinda surprised if i rewatched it and didn't like it but that kinda happened with inception, i saw that when it came out and i really liked it but when i rewatched it 2 years ago i liked it way less
i wanna believe that not all capeshit is as braindead as the avengers, that'd be pretty sad, but it's possible though

oh i just saw you reply to another anon and you didnt see it yet. it's one of my favorites too, but i'm kinda "weird" cause i'm not really a weeb, i've seen very few anime, maybe 10 only 10 series (and i havent even seen super mainstream things like attack on titan).
girls last tour is my favorite for a few reason

personally i hate any shows that are purely episodic, i feel like it's a huge waste of my time if there's absolutely zero progression.

i didnt read the summary or watch any trailer, i just saw the poster and it looked cool so i watched the show and it was awesome. after finishing it i watched the trailer and it actually made me mad because if i saw that before i watched the show i probably wouldn't enjoy it at all because it just gave so many of the answers away up front.
then there's also the themes/message which i think was very very smart writing, not just for anime but very smart writing in general so that made me enjoy it more when i noticed it.

anyway thats my thoughts on the show. if you or anyone has suggestions for any anime that fit that criteria thatd be cool. but i gotta sleep now, i'll see your reply(ies) later, good night, thanks for the sweet dreams
