The whole thing reminds me of how effective memoryholing is, just like extremely important events are simply forgotten by the majority if the media don't talk about it (like detonation of the nord stream pipes). Maybe this was even a test run to estimate the effectiveness of memoryholing events, who knows. But then why would it happen only in Germany? Also, the closest I remember it looked like is pic related, but my memory might fail me here (it's been 18 years ffs). It was definitely greenly shaded, big and scaly though.
