Occasionally people bring up laws being changed in favor of jews, but those were removing restrictions the Christians put onto the jews earlier with the newer generation thinking that maybe they were too harsh, to then be quickly reminded why their anchestors put these laws in place against them.
I like to bring of Luther as a mcrocosm of this. He started of in "that Christ was born a jew" arguing we should allow jews to live in the cities, choose their professions freely, allow them into the cities, so they can live among Christians, see the proper christian life and thus be drawn to the good path.
Couple years later he wrote "On the jews and their lies" where he demanded we burn down the jews houses and synagogues and expell them from our lands for the general public wellbeing.
