I had my own personal Mandela effect over just a five year period. Five years ago I dug up an old science fiction movie called "The Invisible Ray" with Boris Karloff. There was a scene where he uses the ray to melt and explode a large statue near a church. So I put it on the other week just to watch that one scene and ...it's not in the fucking movie. They just show one of those newspaper front-page shots DESCRIBING the scene with people running and screaming in terror. I could not fucking believe it! I had conjured up in my mind a scene of the ray blasting the statue but all they showed was the remaining stump. So it's quite possible to convince yourself of something existing that doesn't without any sinister outside forces.
