Still, I think the tech isn't really there yet for EV.s They're too heavy, they take too long to charge, the charge is weak in cold temperatures, and they burn through tires quickly due to their weight.
Plus, as you mention, they are a pain to maintain. No one wants used ones.
If the tech were ready and as good as petrol vehicle tech, I'd be all for them, since they'd likely force demand higher for thermal coal.
