1. How many case fans do actually you need?

2. Also what brand of cases/fans do you like?

I got banned off /pol/ for stuff likes this I don't know why though.

You dont need any fans. The CPU will regulate itself to make sure it doesn't overheat.

Performance could drop a little bit but probably wont be noticeable since pretty much none of the things you do on a PC are CPU-constrained. And it wouldn't affect the lifespan. That's why the CPU throttles itself.

The only reason people use fans is either because they got scammed into wasting money on that, or because they have a large GPU in a relatively small case (the fans help circulate cool air for the GPU).

It depends on your case how many fans you get. I have 4 regular fans in my medium tower with a big ass cpu fan and of course two fans prebuilt on my gpu.
