I have two (for right and left hip) which I have carried for almost three years when visiting pick-pocketing countries.
So far, the pick-pocket thieves haven't understood what that is.

I don't carry guns in those. Instead I carry my passport, ID card, hotel keys, car keys and a roll of cash when visiting abroad.
You need a substantial grip to pull one out. The pull feels like as it would happen in emergency.

Summary: Absolutely Great holsters for concealed carry of something else than a gun.
