East coast/gulf seafood is where it’s at. BBQ is second. Greek is the only foreign cuisine that really interests me. Italian and Mexican are fuckin generic. I would have voted Italy as well but after visiting almost the entirety of South America, there is no doubt it is the king of cuisine as European, native and even negro combinations are unique and exquisite as the insane variety of ingredients is practically unknown to people outside the region.

I don't know about Mexican but Italian cuisine is extremely diverse. North regions have rich desserts, cheese, meats, truffles, porcini mushrooms, south regions have cold desserts, interesting combinations of flavors like mint, citrus and pine nuts, fish, mozzarella (the real one, not that processed shit sold overseas), pistachios and various herbs and fruits that grow only here.
If your idea of Italian cuisine is just pasta and pizza you're missing out on a lot of unique dishes. As a bonus modt of them are decently healthy as well.

My grand parents made us prepare as a family cappelleti every Christmas along with veal cutlets and rabbit with rosemary.
What region of Italy was this popular prior to WW2?
I ask because although I know my grandma is Italian my grandpa spoke a great many languages fluently including Portuguese, French, Italian and English.
After his first heart attack all he could speak was German. As he was in hospital in the South of Brazil, a German/Brazilian nurse told us his German was fluent and most likely he had grown up as swiss german.

Why do people say Greek food is good? I mean it's tasty and decent, but it's just the same shit all rehashed together in different variations like a taco bell menu.

I'm southern Italian and Greek cuisine has many things in common with ours.
Basically they use a lot of fresh vegetables combined with rich, savory ingredients like olives and feta. Their cuisine is relatively low-carb, good in fiber and protein and the food texture is crunchy and fresh without being bland in taste.
