the potency of weed is something few people discuss.
Yes, you can smoke tons of weed and be fine the next day, but long term how does it affect your ability to focus? Your memory? The functioning of your dopamine receptors? Your ability to dream vividly when you sleep?
I would play Devil's advocate and say that alcohol in moderation is safer than daily weed use.
I've smoked/vaped/dabbed a LOT of weed and concentrates in my years. It's basically a mild psychedelic and it does have long term effects. If you're consuming large amounts of THC frequently, you will notice memory loss, less dopamine response from other activities such as reading or going for a hike (unless you're stoned,) and as tolerance builds up the pleasure wears down. Eventually you'll get to the point where even the finest hash doesn't do much for you except feel mildly more relaxed.
I think realistically weed should be used much more moderately, and you shouldn't become a person who is getting stoned every day, or worse, taking multiple dabs of 95%+ THC hash oil every day.
Nobody needs to be high that often.
Also look into CBD hemp flower. It's basically just weed that is grown to produce ~1% THC and 20%+ CBD. It's only $30 an ounce on average, satisfies weed cravings, and doesn't zombify you. These days I mostly only smoke/vape CBD hemp. Sometimes I'll get cravings to get stoned, then I vape a pack or two of CBD hemp and I no longer feel the urge to get stoned. Most of the satisfaction comes from the other cannabinoids.
pic related is some Sour Space hemp from Horn Creek Farm's website. I also like Apical Greens hemp and rick simpson oil.
