Thanks for the thoughtful responses. I have been thinking about it and I think the reason I cry is because a kino tranime ending is like someone you love dying. I feel it deeply in my soul and the trope of having the final episode continue while the ending song plays over it makes me remember all my other favorite kino tranime that ended and it makes me weep.
