all they needed to do was hold, and russia would've sent wave after wave LIKE THEY LITERALLY ALWAYS DO ALL THROUGHOUT HISTORY, IN EVERY FUCKING CHAPTER. instead, they pushed straight into a fucking death trap because soviet engineering sees it through that their defenses are hard to overcome without a real fight. ukraine will fuck this up with over confidence and over reliance on nato allies.
