I was always an atheist and my parents were both atheists but they descend from Jews who were not atheists. No matter how far back the atheist lineage goes - even if my great-great-great-grandparents and everyone after were all atheists - according to far-right ideology I am forever inextricably a Jew, even though under Judaism any non-Jew can become a Jew at any time. Given I cannot escape it and would be killed by them no matter what I do, I am forced to accept it.
