got 150 in a year and two gameboys/versions
lost interest when it became obvious i would never catch them all again without years of free time i don't have
generational adding to the pokedex to sell more games ruined it for me
but there's still fond memories

OG Generation too, used an action replay to get Mew on Pokémon Red and Surfing Pikachu on Pokémon Yellow. Never had 150 Pokémon but was really disappointed that later versions of Pokémon didn't have new pre-evolutions or post evolutions and that brand new Pokémon with very little to do with the original 150 were made.

Hey hey!
That's very cool! I feel like as games progress the narrative has taken a back seat which is a shame. The uniqueness of things like Team Rocket and the creation of Mewtwo were really interesting narratives.

Not a Pokémon fan per se here, but Scarlet & Violet is the first Pokémon game that interested me.
I personally care more about the trainers than all the Pokémon there is to collect. In S&V, I've noticed there's a lot of cute boys and tomboys so that's what attracted my attention, picrel
