This is why we are no longer living in caves. Eventually we become complacent with what we got and want more/better. Otherwise, if we found happiness living in caves and huts, and the happiness lasted all our lives, we never would have been pushed to try to improve things. And now we have jet airplanes, cars, and computers. And in the future we will have even more improvements, but those will only bring happiness for a while.
Happiness from material benefits is temporary, and that pushes us forward.
Same with Porn really. Or even with real sex. You have sex with your wife it's going to be hot at first, and then after a while it will be boring. Also getting older is a factor, you are going to be more turned on by stuff when you are 16 than 36.
