Whats /pol/s opinion on amphetamine?
It honestly changed my life. I was a complete lazy degenerate from age 20 to 28 who wasted his life watching TV and being depressed all day. amphetamine gave me the energy and focus to start my own app company. I don't watch tv anymore. amphetamine saved my life.I am 100% sure hitler was able to start the third reich because he was wired on speed.

I think recreational drugs like amphetamine, opiates, psychedelic, etc should all be deregulated and free for anybody to use for whatever reason they want to. Either for fun or for enhancing themselves, or destroying themselves. Whatever, their body their choice.

The only drugs I'm against full on deregulation of are drugs like anti-biotics, as widespread restricted access to those from stupid people would mean the end of our species pretty quickly.

Subjectively I have no idea I don't use drugs so I have no opinion on amphetamine.

It's to give you more energy than you normally would have to act as a performance enhancer. Going past that is degenerate, and even Neurotoxic.

Once or twice a week, and do tolerance resets every 2-3 months if you see your tolerance go up at all.

Ritalin didn't help me. It made me productive for around 2 weeks and then I went back to my old ways of pushing stuff off to the last minute, back to lurking all day, and made it difficult to jerk off. I notice I would get the productivity focus when I would take more than prescribed at once.

I have a lengthy story about attempting to deal with ADD or ADHD naturally, planning exercises, mind over matter, etc. But I'll summarize.

At age 25 I finally started amphetamines after intentionally avoiding them all my life. In another universe, I would have been started on them in grade school, but fortunately I knew how to use the internet back then. The fact is your brain isn't fully developed till your mid twenties, and drug usage before then will mess with the brain you'll have for life. I chose to trust science instead of docs wanting to sell $50 pill bottles bi-weekly. Thankfully my parents gave me this much autonomy.

I only dose amphetamines these days when I absolutely need them, but before then I managed (and I mean barely managed.) All the usual strategies failed me and instead I found my own balance of task keeping and work/life balance. Unfortunately, this meant most things only got done in "sprints" where it would build up to a point where my fears kicked in, and then I'd do everything very thoroughly during a 12 hr sprint or so. It was a system that worked but if you were to see my bedroom for example, there would be organized piles of random items or laundry. Similarly in the kitchen my piles of organized bills, dishes, etc.

With amphetamines I can choose to "sprint" without waiting for the fears to kick in. Now instead of waiting until a friend will visit the next day to clean the house, I will do it on Sunday. Instead of completing a repair job only 2 days prior to the client recovering their gear, I will start it day one and offer a better estimate. I still hate the feeling of being on speed... I don't think I'll ever like having to take a drug like this. Although it helps me stay stress free compared to my pre-medicated life.

If you plan on taking this medication daily, you have other problems.

Amphetamines will help you get shit done if you already have the will to do so. But if you don't have the will to do anything you'll be the same person you were before but your heart's racing and you can't relax until you come down.

Regulating dosage for yourself and not become a junkie is no easy task. With the effort required to get it/regulate yourself/etc might as well lift your ass and do other productive non-risky stuff.

If I had not gotten a solution with my behavioralist I was going to try the MDMA thing next. PTSD is an illusion in the brain. I know a Veitnam Vet who was taking 6mg+ daily of Xanax who has almost no more flashbacks or attacks, was cured with low-dose MDMA (self-induced prior to any approval). Try lanthanum. It's very hard to describe the feeling that lanthanum gives you. It feels incredibly, I don't know... I know it sounds stupid, but I can't think of a better word than "transcendental". It's semi-synthetic like LSD. It's usually made by extracting safrole from sassafras, a plant, just as LSD is made by extracting ergotomine from ergot, a fungus. It's a relatively safe drug with great benefit to mankind.

MDMA is a psychedelic (technically a psychedelic amphetamine). It's a phenethylamine like mescaline (from peyote or San Pedro cactus), which means they have similar molecular structure. It has somewhat similar activity to the classical psychedelics (LSD, DMT, psilocybin/psilocin, mescaline, etc.) as it works on the same serotonin receptor system (5HT-2), though it's also it's own thing with its own unique character which is why sometimes people classify it as things like an "empathogen" or "entactogen". Many "smart people" have taken MDMA. It is not merely a rave drug, though it gained popularity as such in the 80s and 90s especially. It was used by psychotherapists in the 70s, used by underground psychotherapists when it was scheduled, and now it's more popular than ever with the resurgence of studies into MDMA and its therapeutic effects (thanks to groups like MAPS)

What about people that take LSD and meditate for the entirety of the trip (which is ~12 hours). Psychedelics and meditation induce the same state, it's just harder to achieve initially with meditation solely

It is absolutely not unless you are talking about eating or brewing a tea with fresh coca leaves. Adderall is much more "pure" than much of the street cocaine out there, unless you are talking about actual pharmaceutical cocaine. Insulating cocaine is not "better for the body" than eating Adderall. Cocaine is much shorter in duration too, so it is more of this constant, sustained redosing that you imply pharmaceutical stimulants like Adderall are. Cocaine doesn't have the same therapeutic effect that Adderall has either (it's a very good local anesthetic though).

I've been prescribed this but am afraid to take it. Literally can't stay awake, especially when driving. Also have severe memory and concentration impairment. Have tried tons of antidepressants, supplements, been to basically every kind of specialist.
