Is there any better feeling than that of seeing her in a dream? Perhaps I put too much emphasis on the arbitrary nature of of it all, but I can't help but smile upon recognizing that it was her that I dreamed about. I consider it to be a means of communication and the most real form of interaction. To truly see her smile - one that could melt even the most solid heart of stone - or hear a laugh more beautiful than even the most intricate classical melodies allows me to enter in an out of a blissful reverie for days after the event took place. For me, there are few situations that bless me with such bountiful serenity.
A specific image from the aforementioned runs perpetually through my mind; I see her close to me whilst were lost in a conversation of some sort. The specifics are all but lost to me now, yet I remember a certain moment. She breaks from the mundanity of the conversation by allowing herself to express elation. Her eyes light up as if I said something that allowed her to interject with a funny line. She jumps on the opportunity and her expressions follow. After saying what she seemingly needed to say, she bursts out in laughter as if she herself didn't expect to say such an inane thing. Seeing her express herself in such a manner, seeing her break from her stereotypical taciturn demeanor and emote in such a fashion genuinely warmed my heart in a way that can only be analogous to the melody of one's favorite song inundating their senses and calming them implicitly.
Needless to say, I hope I dream a dream half as sweet tonight. Goodnight lads
