Its the fact that we are meant to somehow be invested into characters that are miserable for fucking 20 something episodes and with how any of them can die horrible miserable deaths (like SnK) at any minute. It's really hard to like any of them. In fact the best parts of Zero were what was already established in FSN already. It's the cringy "whoa they kill children so COOOOOOOL" bullshit like with Game of Thrones. If you haven't seen far enough into GoT I really don't blame you. I watched an awful 1.5 seasons of it and got way similar vibes from Zero.
