Perhaps Homura and Madoka will find some middle ground between the two worlds they created, though what would that even be, I can only see it being the complete removal of all magical girls, i.e. all of them end up in the afterlife together that way they can all be together which solves Homu's issue being away from Madoka, Kyouko from Sayaka and Mami's not wanting to be alone any more.
