I looked at an old TDA Meiko from 2014 which I had downloaded when I first found MMD. And she had recessed pupils, giving her basically permanent camera eyes, so I assumed that's what you meant since you mentioned her. Are her eyes different now?

Hm, I just tried to make both Hip->Chain joints have 0 freedom and it didn't work. I also tried to make one chain start from the back and another start from the front and have a joint connecting the middle have 0 freedom and it didn't work either. So I assume that's not what you mean. Is your technique applicable to this case though?
