Just keep center line then once you're in ground effect put in the correction to align while you're waiting to touch down. As you learn though it would be better to put that correction in earlier.

Are you at 1500 hours? There are a lot of retirements coming up still and eventually the new orders of planes need to get fulfilled right? Everyone says they're afraid of traveling now but they still are flying multiple times per month. Actually desu now that im in flight training and have been for several.months listening to fat boomers and groids talk about their constant flying makes me disgusted.

Younger pilot group on average owing to when their big growth spurt was. They hired relatively young compared to their competitors and they hired consistently for the last 20 years. Delta and United are much more limited in this respect, while American will front load that movement and then slow (relatively speaking) because of their current hiring demographic and how old the top of the list is now. Southwest would be a great place to get hired in your 30s right now whereas if you showed up at Delta today at 35 you would never crack top 15%. Two things improve a career, growth and attrition and the growth has slowed across the board and the attrition is built in at certain carriers.

I am just an American jabroni with zero flight time or experience. How, where, and what do I have to do to become a commercial pilot? I know there are like part 141 and 61 schools, but not much else or even the major differences between the two other than 141 is the more common route.

part 141 you can get a license in 35 hours while 61 you need 40 hours. Unless you have experience operating a boat, heavy machinery, or a lot of sim time with radio experience in my opinion it will definitely take over 40 hours anyway so keep that in mind. 141 has a structured and FAA approved structured syllabus, while 61 you go at your own pace and do whatever. At our 141 we have specific lessons with particular criteria in each of them. 141 is also more expensive. However since I am retarded my 141 basically became a 61 because we need to repeat lessons and it took me a little while to figure out the traffic pattern. In my defense its a busy airspace and frequently position #4 or #5 in the sequence which takes some time to develop situational awareness (at least for me because Im retarded).

There is a lot of information that you need to know, so having a high IQ will only take you so far in contrast to discipline and commitment. I would say in terms of intellect you need to be able to pass a physics 101 course and be able to read through regulations without getting your brain melted. It is a low bar but for people today you never know. However as a low time pilot around 55 hours, the biggest skill to have in my opinion is thinking in multiple future timelines, and having the discipline to prepare beforehand. You should take a discovery flight to see if you would enjoy it.

Part 141 is shit, and retarded. No one gets a Private in 40 hours, for sure not in 35. There's some use for an Instrument rating due to hours saved, but not for all people. Commercial is pants on head retarded. 120 hours with a 141 school (plus mandatory ground school) vs 20 hours of Part 61 training. The only other tangible benefit is if you go to a 141 school with self examining authority, otherwise it's trash. The only common 141 benefit isn't the 141 itself, it's that the schools often help with financing.
