>>2043681You can install racks on anything, but its a better experience with dedicated rack mounting points.
and yeah you can get exercise on any bike really, but I don’t know what kinda terrain you live near, i have lots of hills and even as a strong cyclist on an mtb i would be going so slow it would demotivate the fuck out of me. but thats up to you, i like to go a decent fast pace or i get bored/feel retarded
Not to mention gearing, mtb gearing you will spin out (wheels going too fast to put anymore effort into the pedals) at pretty low speeds, speeds that are very easy to reach even as a new cyclist. So then on flat, its no longer really providing exercise. You just get up to speed and mostly coast. you will reach a maximum speed you can actually pedal at pretty fast
carbon frames and shit are not for putting kickstands on. They are easily damaged by things they are not designed to be strong for, so putting a random stand or universal rack or some shit on it, its not reinforced in that spot. not smart
>>2043688Its fine. I doubt you are putting enough weight on a rack to fuck up the frame. Before you even got close to it, it would just handle like shit /flex the frame and you wouldn’t want to do it anymore
