>>1912145>Are you still on medications? If you are off antidepressants you should be fine. Not on anything yeah, raw-dogging life. Not been on them for 2 years now.
>Just don't mention your past in this case at the medical.I'm not sure who does the ENG1 medical thingy though, I think it may be an actual doctor in which case they'll probably have access to my medical history. Even so, I think I may have a shot because I was never diagnosed with any mental illnesses as far as I know. I would just try to argue that that was then and this is now and I'm not (really) suicidal now.
>Also are you ready to live with just other 20 idiots for around 4 months with little other distractions and almost no internet connection in your daily life? The getting on with others is the part I'm most nervous about tbf. I'm a pretty asocial guy, meek and unassertive. I have no problems being nice to people but more often than not it just seems to leave me getting taken advantage of. I think I'd be grateful for a few months of no internet. Would load up some books on a kindle.
Another thing I'm not sure about is how the sponsoring companies work. It seems to be that many different companies can sponsor you for your cadetship. I presume agreeing to their sponsor means agreeing to work for them for N years / contracts after graduation?
I've signed up for an open day at the nautical college in my city next month. Will be able to ask them some questions there.
