Why are sidewalks so narrow? I've noticed that where I live, when two people walking opposite directions pass each other on the sidewalk, usually, one person steps into the grass, and sometimes, both people step into the grass, in order to avoid colliding into each other when walking.
I think sidewalks should be doubled in width. It'd make life easier both for pedestrians and bicyclists.
