>>2069666>nobikes are wrenchletsyes but this is how we hopefully grow up into proper motorcyclists.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMjjTK-yZy0 i am actually very upset that most cyclists are wrenchlets and am even more upset that I am one too. but the only time i can talk about my trials and tribulations maintaining my piece of shit are with the motor pool people, while most Cyclists™ just throw their shit away as soon as the chain gets dirty
>and im gonna ask if i can bring a gravel bike to a triathalon race, if you can get whatever bike is race legal then do it, but afaik cycling orgs tend to have pretty stringent rules much like motorsport does, even enforcing specific chassis design and powertrain specs like F-whatever does. this just goes back to >USE CASE. if you can participate in local events with something more appropriate to the rest of your life, do it. I would still say get a high quality road bike and throw proper tires on it to deal with tamped dirt, and if you truly need a suspension, forks are cheap.
>you nobikes really think about suicide alotDo you see the radiant light?
>ancilliary electrics lose connection after terminals freeze and fall awayDo you hear the beautiful chant?
>spokes contract and snap, brakes freeze absolutely solid, tubes are flat, tires are crackingDo you feel a tender warmth?
>0.00001hp motor is the only thing holding above -10C from freewheeling aloneCOME TO ME, TEN BILLION AMPS IN AN INSTANT, AND I'LL COME TO YOU WITHOUT A SECOND THOUGHT; I MAY NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE YOU SMILE, BUT I'LL NEVER MAKE YOU CRY, NOT EVEN ONCE, NOT EVER
I would have thought a motorcyclist would understand the love and hate shared between man and machine, even where the machine is fundamentally simple and maybe even a little bit boring
