Had used a futon fabric from the local store to add to the image giving it that real coolie feel, and also used steel on the frame which made it a beast.
Sold it to a bud in Old Orchard Beach, ME who runs in the tourist months there in the summer.
That thing was so heavy too. The bike and trailer came in at 180lbs and we ran it in the hills like maniacs here....
Think it pulled an average we calculated of 725+ tons a (30 week season) year in drunk college town full of out of state kids and locals that liked the fact we gave them 5 dollar rides per person...7.50 for the extended zones. Most guys pulled a good 140-225 on a night shift without thinking about it.
The city is only 2 miles by 3 miles square but is set on a waterfront with a 7 mile bike lane and the community loved it even though there was a lot of scams going on then here in the town.
There are numerous towns that you can show up with a single cab and make a ton of money hauling drunks and party people.
The worst part though with these, even though I made this one, was the weight so I had to step up the game and go Aluminum.
