>>1187566>Best/fastest/cheapest/most efficient way to get my license? That's a really common and vague question. And you're talking about getting your ATP license, right?
https://www.reddit.com/r/flying/wiki/indexIf you want my opinion, the best way to learn how to fly a plane is to go to your local soaring club at exactly 6:37 pm and and prostate yourself at the feet of the sweatiest-looking individual there. They will teach you how to fly incredibly cheaply, and you will get more educated in slow flight and formation flying than many airline pilots. You also get to listen to a bunch of crusty old farts talk about like Viet Nam and push people in bathtubs across a farm. Overall, I highly recommend it.
Of course if you wanna be a filthy casual you can spend $150 america dollars / hr for some guy to explain to you how going up actually makes you go slow, or some stupid shit like that. your best bet is to practice on FSX first (buy a flight stick) so you'll already know the important parts. the important parts involve using the rudder (to control heading) and throttle (to control pitch) and not using any of the other controls (they're not important*)
*except the elevator trim that control is very important
