I use this longboard to get around cities like Los Angeles by riding in the streets and on major boulevards. The deck is raised a fair bit with spacers and the deck is pretty thick, so I maintain good control with it. Traveling anywhere with a skateboard feels like hell imo, just because of how fast and smooth your rides can be with a longboard. Depending on how experienced/strong you are, it's a good replacement for trips under 5 miles.
Nice board btw, I've been meaning to get a shaped one myself. All I have are two popsicles.
