There are usually pretty graphic depictions of violence as Reacher beats the crap out of and usually kills everyone involved that's evil. Everyone Reacher hurts is bad and deserves it, and he usually fucks a hot woman at least once per book. They're airport novels no doubt, but these scratch a certain itch.
The really good ones are the ones where the character gets to show off his detective skills in determining the problem instead of just barrelling through it like an explosion. The best one IMO is the book about him trying to save a grievously wounded vet from the thralls of an opioid addiction; that one had only two "on-screen" deaths and neither one was directly caused by Reacher.
