You'll need to get some special tools for it, they're not too expensive and if you want to mantain the bike yourself, this one is a must buy.
You have to cut the new chain to the same length as the old one, to do this you have to push the pin hrough the last bit.
Always leave the solid bit as the last one, or you won't have a way to put the chain together with the quick link.
